Afterthoughts

B.I.T.A.G. in the House (of God)

My wife and I went to Christ Commission Fellowship yesterday for worship. We arrived early so we can get good seats before people start pouring in for the 12nn service. While waiting for the service to start, my wife pointed at a person who seem familiar to her. To my surprise it was Ben Tulfo of B.I.T.A.G fame. Thoughts flooded my mind trying to figure out why is he there in the first place.

Was he doing an expose on the church (I hope not)?
How long has he been attending the church? Was it his first time?
Can I get a picture of us together (got hooked with his show at some point in my life)?haha

It’s good to see so many celebrities in our churches nowadays. Back then we often see them in bars and parties but not inside the church’s walls especially evangelical ones. I hope that this would not stay as a trend but a genuine transformation in their lives.

The (Toy) Story of My Life

I never knew I’ll be enjoying Toy Story 3 more than I the first two installments of this great film. I was afraid that I’ll get bored because it is in fact a story about toys and I it has been more than a decade that I have been a kid like Andy. It was surprising how the story matured as if intentionally following the generation that saw the first film. Watching the film makes you want to be a kid again but also realize that life must go and the things that we valued when we were young should be passed on to the next generation. It’s a joy to see familiar characters yet it saddens me that this is the last time I’m going to see them. I hope Bonnie takes care of Woody and his company if ever by some chance that this franchise would continue on. Another masterpiece from Pixar. Thank you guys for an experience I would hold on to until your next film.

Winning Streak?

The last time I won in a contest of any kind was when I was around seven years old. It was a cartoon show in channel four where they draw winners from kids who are part of the Sustagen Club. Thanks to my mom who was working at Mead Johnson at that time, we were automatic members. One Sunday after church, a friend told me that he saw my name on tv and that I won something. I was so excited because they usually give out the latest toys. That week, my mom and I went to claim my prize which was to my dismay a Benetton watch.

After almost two decades I finally won again and this time on my favorite morning radio show. I’ll be claiming my prize later so I can watch the premier of Prince of Persia. Luck smiles on me again. I’d better join Wowowee next week.
